I think there are 5 Thai restaurants in Flagstaff. If you’ve been to Flagstaff, you’ll know … it’s not very big. So 5 Thai restaurants seems excessive for an area that doesn’t seem to have a lot of Asian decent. Irregardless, we are working our way through the list. This is the 3rd Thai restaurant in Flagstaff we’ve tried, and by far the best.
It’s a small hole in the wall place, right next to Four Seasons outfitters on 1051 S. Milton Rd. It doesn’t serve alcohol, and has small (but attentive staff). It probably only has 6 tables inside. But it’s quick, and tasty.
John had the Evil Prince of a Wild Jungle, which was chicken curry dish with large pieces of tender chicken, sliced mushrooms floating in a bowl full of delicious coconut curry broth. The flavors were beautiful. I had the My Choice selection, a marinaded pork strips with a special garlic sauce sautéed with tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, and onions. It was delicious.
We ordered both dishes a heat level of 4 (out of 5). I always worry the first time ordering heat levels in a new Thai restaurant a 4 at one Thai place may be fiery hot, while mild at another. A 4 at Little Thai Kitchen was quite medium (not hot).
The food was terrific. It was authentic and very flavorful.
We’d definitely go back.
